I wrote about how I was assaulted by a gang of Occupy Toronto’s Black Bloc a couple of months ago. It was pretty brutal- one of them (now known as Flagpole Alex) came running up to me and smashed me over the head with a large wooden flagpole, then three others came running up to me and started kicking me while I was down. It was really heroic of them- and the perfect evidence that the activist community cannot tolerate their presence at local demonstrations.

Well, it looks like both Jason Bowman and Kevin Annett’s credibility is down for the count. Both were on Global F.A.C.T. radio today and completely discredited themselves. I’m not sure who went down harder, but I’ll put my money on Annett. Regardless, both hung themselves rather spectacularly…

Well, it’s official, Occupy Toronto is dead! After many months of flogging a dead horse, dwindling numbers, and lots of negative PR, the Activistocrats have decided to throw-in the towel. Well, not quite, they are pulling a Blackwater/Xi style re-branding exercise. This is perfect, Judy Rebick can write a whole new book about it!

Gary McHale with Jan Longboat in Caledonia…
Last month I wrote an article about Jan Longboat, a Six Nations elder courageously put herself between the radicals in her community and the people who live in Caledonia in an effort to negotiate a peace in a challenging situation. In a now famous video, Longboat negotiated with a man named Gary McHale- both parties were reasonable, but the radicals were having a hard time dealing with the idea of there being peace.

Translink’s new fare gates…
The first fare gates have been installed in Vancouver and a photo-op was held at the Marine Drive Skytrain station a couple of weeks ago. There’s been a lot of controversy about the system- radicals think it is unfair to force poor people to pay for their rides, and others are concerned about slowing down traffic. But, one of the more important issues has got very little coverage in the mainstream media- privacy.

Richard Muller – Reckless schil for the nuclear industry
Okay, I’m sure all of my readers can guess that the Wall Street Journal is a publication that is likely to support corporate interests- that’s probably a given. But, one of their articles I found a couple of days ago has taken their corporate pandering to a whole new level. The writer Richard Muller, a professor at Berkeley, actually tries to convince the world that Fukushima “passed the test” in containing radiation after a nuclear accident. What a schmuck!

Warren Buffett & Bill Gates Are Laughing All The Way To The Bank…
With all of the attention being paid towards the pipeline these days, it seems to me that the pipeline protesters are missing an important part of the story- perhaps intentionally. The big question is, what happens if the Northern Gateway & Keystone XL pipelines don’t get built? Will they shut-down the oil sands? Hardly, because there is another solution already waiting for us- trains.
