I had a chance meeting with someone on the ferry a couple of days ago. He was friends with Ashlee, the girl who tragically died at Occupy Vancouver. He confirmed his belief that the incident was not connected to Occupy- but part of her personal experience. I could see how he was touched by her memory, and how avoidable it could have been…

The previous day I tried to warn the VFD, Mayor Gregor Robertson, and INSITE– they all ignored my pleas for help. I just ran across the blog entry of someone who watched my messages on Twitter. Even from afar, she could see something was significantly wrong…

Follow-Up to My Posting on Black Bloc Terrorism…

It has been a few days since I posted my question about the Black Bloc– and, as expected, it seemed to have upset a person or two. It’s not that I have intended to offend them, I’d much rather write positive stories like the story in the Observer, or the Occupy Harper and Occupy Skytrain stories. I hardly find writing about the Black Bloc to be rewarding.

Though, I must admit, there is some personal motivation for this. I’m in Cortes Island now, came here to physically & spiritually regroup this winter. I arrived here to find that Black Bloc sympathizers had sent emails to some people on Cortes ‘warning’ them that I am ‘dangerous’. I’d been quiet for a couple of weeks, was hoping things would settle and get quiet. Now, it is clear that I have no choice to take this fight to the end…

I’m here in Cortes, doing a little research on BC’s political history- ran across an interesting story about Dana Larsen’s experience with the NDP. I’d write-up my own synopsis, but I’m feeling a bit tired today after my journey…

“In February, I created a Facebook group for the NDP Convention. I made sure it was clear that it wasn’t an official page. In June, I received a message on Facebook from Jen Anthony, who said she was organizing the convention. She said that they were going to make an official Facebook page for the convention, and then they saw that I had made a page already.

A Holiday Survival Guide for Occupiers…

I’ve been a bit quiet over the holidays, have been incredibly busy- with the extra burden of moving house- so, apologies for the lack of content here. With the New Year coming I will be once more engaged- and the saga will continue!
