I had a long phone call with Jennifer Allan on Thursday. I like Jennifer, she seems like a genuinely good person who is in the middle of something rather sinister. She self-describes as a Christian who, in a previous life spent over seven years as a prisoner’s rights advocate. Jenn tells me her motivation is, …

I’ve been doing some research for a story on the effects of the government closing down Riverview, and other mental health facilities- and how it helped turn Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside into the mess that it is. I found these very interesting videos interviewing a former employee/resident of Raincity housing. Notice how he mentions BC Housing has …

It has most certainly been an interesting day today- things happened that were right on-par with yesterday. Who would have thought that was possible! Well, it was, and today’s events are indicative of the lengths people in the poverty industry will go to stop a whistleblower…

I’ve been told that Jenn Allan is a good hearted person. She’s a Christian, a former sex worker, someone who provides free food to current sex workers. An angel some would say. So, considering this, I was willing to give her the benefit of doubt. That was, until she went on CKNW yesterday, lying to …

I heard that Vancouver Cop Watch (VCW) would be on CKNW when they tweeted it out a couple of days ago. So, I emailed CKNW’s Susanne Hill and made sure she was up-to-date on the stories I wrote about VCW. I’d figured she had- as, the word on the street I’d caused quite a stir, …

While the Toronto Casseroles parade is fading, Vancouver is only getting started. And, unfortunately, things are not starting well. It seems that most of the crowd had good intentions, but the results of the evening were rather dismal…

There are two ways I know when a story has been successful. First, I am blessed with 1000’s of hits from you, my dear readers. The second way is when I see someone publishing an article to counter my writing- this happened recently when ScoutMagazine.ca ran a story that included criticism about when I wrote …
