Occupy Toronto Occupies The 52 Division To Demonstrate Against Police Violence!

It all began on Friday afternoon when officers from the Toronto Police Department came to Occupy Toronto’s new occupation at Osgoode Hall. They told the occupiers that they must leave their space, despite the fact we had explicit permission from the property manager to stay there. In the aftermath, four occupiers were arrested- two of …

Officer Roadkill: “Do us all a favour and run them over!”

Today was a challenging day- both for Occupiers, and for the police. Fortunately, the majority of police acted in an entirely professional manner. And, yes, that was expected- after yesterday’s brutal violence, it was doubtful many cops would want to escalate further.

Toronto Police Lie About Altercation with Occupiers!

I am still deeply disturbed with what happened yesterday at Osgoode Hall. Yes. the Occupiers could have handled the situation better. However, the level of violence was uncalled for, and the police should have been better trained how to de-escalate the situation. Instead, they got violent and created a major incident.

Police Violence At Occupy Toronto’s New Occupation…

You know me, I’m the guy who stood-up at the planning meeting for Occupy Vancouver and stuck-out like a sore thumb after saying “Aren’t the police members of the 99%?” I meant that then, as I mean it now- that said, the police who came to our encampment at Occupy Toronto today have shown that …

Alex Hundert Forsakes Homeless Occupiers!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UUSwgHab_U?rel=0 Alex, despite his court order not to go to activist events, magically appeared at the eviction today. He’s been stalking me since October- first online, and now this is the third time he has appeared to interfere with me. I applaud his braveness for showing-up, but am seriously disappointed by his lack of will …

Officer Bubbles Attending the Attempted (and failed) Eviction of Homeless Occupiers!

BullyWatch: I Was Assaulted today By Black Bloc Terrorists

Alex Hundert- the man people misguidedly view as a hero for being dumb enough for getting caught during the G20, brought two other big scary looking men with him and blocked my access to the GA. The police came, they lied to them, nothing happened in the end. Occupy held a meeting, discussed me, and …

Follow-Up to My Posting on Black Bloc Terrorism…

It has been a few days since I posted my question about the Black Bloc– and, as expected, it seemed to have upset a person or two. It’s not that I have intended to offend them, I’d much rather write positive stories like the story in the Observer, or the Occupy Harper and Occupy Skytrain …

Are Black Bloc Tactics Terrorism?

I’ve been doing some reading on the history of the Black Bloc the past few days- fascinating stuff. And, each day, it becomes more apparent that the Black Bloc is a serious menace for more cities than Vancouver. This menace is going Global, fast- will write more about this in the future… For today, I want to …
