Ottawa: Where Anarchists Dance With Union Czars…
Many good-hearted members of Occupy Toronto were tricked on September 17th. The put a lot of hard work into preparing a rally for the anniversary of the Occupy movement. They painted signs, some busked for money to pay for the bus. There was a lot of genuine good-heartedness in their efforts- unfortunately, their good intentions were trampled on. Sid Ryan and his anarchist supporters hijacked the rally and used it to promote the NDP.

Dan Kellar: Rabble’s Anarchist Slandermonkey…
I’ve written a lot about Rabble.ca the past few months. They came on my radar after (twice) publishing slanderous lies about me. Both times they took-down the attacks, but they refused to publish retractions. We’ve seen Rabble.ca publish a lot of bullshit since I’ve started following them, like Ethan “80,000” Cox misrepresenting the amount of people at a Quebec student march or Krystalline Kraus desperately trying to label the G20 vandals as ‘political prisoners’.
Rabble is often a laugh a minute- and, this week was no exception. Their article Trolls and the spaces created by trolling is a laugh riot. How could such a serious story become a laugh riot- well, this is Rabble of course, and they are often prone to making wild exaggerations. This story’s exaggerations are, as usual, embarrassingly shameless. But, hey, that’s why we love Rabble, isn’t it?

Where’s Zach Ruiter? (LULZ)
Update: Zach Ruiter is no longer working with the TMC, but he did produce this video while with them.
An intrepid young reporter for the Toronto Media Co-Op (TMC) put together an interesting video titled Bannock Canadian Comfort Food? Devouring Culture. It’s a story about natives, anarchists, YouTube, political correctness and Scottish flat breads. And, just for some spice, I’ll throw-in some G20, and connections to the Quebec Student strikes.

Does this say anything about hating women?
As you can see from my letter last night, Vancouver adult educator Sasha Wiley-Shaw (the ‘schoolteacher’ label she’s been using to the press is a put-on) is back in the news again. After digging into the story of her latest antics, it’s a bit like history repeating itself- parts of this story mirror what happened at Simon Fraser University when a man tried to start-up a men’s centre. The title for my story was Why ‘Safe Space’ Politics Should Scare You.
Canada’s old-left have a religious fervour over the concept of ‘men’s rights’, and Sasha Wiley-Shaw is one of the warriors against it. She appears to come from a school of thought that people with ‘privilege’ should not be allowed to have advocacy groups. At least, that is how she behaved when she and her gang of activists decided to start damaging a man’s posters as he placed them on the side of a construction site. The image at the top of this article is supposedly what was being posted.
