Two weeks ago Toronto City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam tweeted out a picture of a hate-filled letter that was mailed to her office at City Hall. The envelope was postmarked on April 10th. It’s unknown when …

[UPDATE: Christopher Wilson interviewed protesters at the woman’s march in Vancouver who indicated they travelled to the march because it was “free”. Who paid for it then?] The Women’s March On Washington appears to have …
University of Toronto Student Union Exec Cassandra Williams spoke too
At 2pm Friday afternoon, while their American counterparts were charging through Washington DC on a violent rampage, a group of Toronto anarcho-kiddies kicked-off an “Anti-Fascist Rally And March” to protest Donald Trump’s inauguration. Organisers described the event on its Facebook page as “a day of action and resistance” created “in defiance of fascism and hatred at home and abroad”.
If you’re already familiar with organisers Wesley Williams (a.k.a. Quasir Ali) and Lane Patriquin then you’ve probably already busted your gut laughing. Both were present and spoke at a hardcore racist Trump protest back in November, and both took prominent roles in the mayhem during Dr. Jordan Petersons October demonstration at the University of Toronto.
Williams is also well known for the racist patch he wore at a 2015 Black Lives Matter protest- “I am the Death of the Palefaces”, it declared!
Barely a handful or two showed up for the protest. So despite Williams calling for “diversity of tactics”, there wasn’t much of an opportunity for violence with an almost equal balance of cops and protesters. Observers and clickbait hungry media were instead awarded by a world-class demonstration of Oppression Olympics and tragically stupid rhetoric that might make even Justin Trudeau blush.

On December 6th the city government gave the William P. Hubbard Race Relations Award to Black Lives Matter Toronto. As most of this website’s readers already know, BLMTO has a racism and a violence problem. Knowing this, I headed down to City Hall to ask members of the Council what their opinion was on this massive screw-up.
Stay tuned for a detailed written account of my trip to City Hall, a look into the individuals who voted on the award, and their relationships to city councilors and the city’s NGO/SJW industrial complex.
And, as always, if you like my work and want to contribute towards my costs traveling to and covering stories like this messed-up awards ceremony, You can find my PayPal account here and my Patreon account here (any amount, no matter how small, is greatly welcome).

This evening I went to Toronto City Hall to watch Black Lives Matter Toronto get the William P. Hubbard Award for Race Relations. It was a disgusting example of political ambition overriding common decency, BLMTO is one of the most divisive organizations in the city, co-founded by a black supremacist.
I approached the city’s Communications Advisor Susan Pape and asked her for comment on how the city could award a group connected to so much hate (see video below). She asked me to write her and promised a quality response to my question. The letter is below. Stay tuned Thursday for videos of city councillors scurrying away when I asked them the same questions.
William Peyton Hubbard in 1913 (Rolling in his grave now)
William P. Hubbard was a great Torontonian. Born on the then outskirts of the city to former American slaves, Hubbard worked his way up from baker to cab driver and eventually became one of the most celebrated and influential politicians in the city. He’s credited as being “instrumental” in the creation of Toronto Hydro & Ontario Hydro.
In 1999 the City of Toronto honored him by creating the William P. Hubbard Award for Race Relations. The city’s website explains that the award is presented “to a person or persons whose outstanding achievement and commitment has made a significant contribution toward a positive race relations climate in Toronto.”
The award is a great idea in concept, and it’s gone to some great achievers including the first Black Canadian elected into the legislature, Kamala-Jean Gopie “a doer, not a chronic complainer”, and Samuel Getachew who recently wrote an interesting article praising Andray Domise.
But something has gone horribly wrong. This year’s Hubbard award is going to one of the most divisive groups in the city’s history that was co-founded by a supremacist who recently called an Ethiopian refugee a “coon”.
