I’ve written to the Council of Canadians before- more than once. It all began when Ruth Meta sent a letter to Maude Barlow, asking her to explain why a prominent member of Occupy Vancouver has been repressing people and hurting the movement. I took the same letter and put my name to it.

Ruth, a prominent member of the community, got a call back from an organizer at the CoC’s. At the same time, I got a response from Garry Neil– and it was truly pitiful, insulting…

I’m writing to give you an opportunity to defend yourself, and to explain your recent actions. Because, at this moment, you appear to to have diminishing credibility- this cannot be good for your career in journalism…

First, please explain yourself, and why you decided to attack a complete stranger. We’ve never met, and have never had any direct communication- is this not true? I’ve heard you said otherwise at the Occupy Toronto GA last Wednesday- you know, the GA Alex Hundert blocked my entrance from? What’s up with that?

I’ll never forget the moment I told Dave Vasey that I knew about his connection to Macdonald Stainsby. It was classic, his face went white as a ghost, then he turned to Wilsun (an Occupy Toronto Marshal) and said ‘see, I told you!’ It was that moment I knew that justice would be served…
