Two weeks ago Toronto City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam tweeted out a picture of a hate-filled letter that was mailed to her office at City Hall. The envelope was postmarked on April 10th. It’s unknown when …

[UPDATE: Christopher Wilson interviewed protesters at the woman’s march in Vancouver who indicated they travelled to the march because it was “free”. Who paid for it then?] The Women’s March On Washington appears to have …
Krusty old Krystalline Kraus is back at it again– doing her important job of keeping Rabble’s content scaling-up on the bullshit index. But, what would one expect- Rabble & Krystalline put out more BS than the state of Texas!
This time she is harping on-behalf of a dangerously violent member of the Black Bloc- Julian Ichim. Why do I say he is dangerously violent? Well, just have a look at this video from the first Toronto march in support of the student strikes…
I went out to Fort York last night to see the Luminato exhibit- hadn’t been there since I went on a tour with my elementary school- back when I lived in Toronto in the 70’s. The place brought back lots of memories, and I was given a beautiful show by a flock of seagulls chasing mayflies.
I’ve been doing some research for a story on the effects of the government closing down Riverview, and other mental health facilities- and how it helped turn Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside into the mess that it is. I found these very interesting videos interviewing a former employee/resident of Raincity housing.
Notice how he mentions BC Housing has become the new home for the mentally ill- is this a part of the problem?
There is so much to address in these videos that I just don’t know where to start. There is obviously a problem with some non-profits running buildings on-behalf of BC Housing. Janice Abbott’s lies and conflict-of-interest is only the tip of the iceberg. This guy’s story is tragic…
I’d be interested in hearing other people’s stories of their experiences at Raincity, or any BC Housing residences managed by non-profits. You can mail me confidentially, or feel free to leave a comment here.
You may remember I wrote a letter to Archbishop Hiltz of the Canadian Anglican church after Maggie Helwig tried to bully and get me to leave her church. I received a call from the Archbishop’s office a couple of weeks later, asking me if it was acceptable that they forward this matter to Colin Johnson, the Archbishop of Toronto. I thanked them for their attention to the matter and agreed with their suggestion.
I finally received an apologetic response from Archbishop Johnson last week. It was a friendly letter, if not a bit political, and it didn’t address my ask for the church’s help in resolving the false accusations that caused this event to occur. I’ve scanned the letter and posted it below.
