The Story Of CUPE’s Smear Campaign Against Me During The Occupy Movement

Never in my existence would I have expected to tell a story about being attacked by a union. The worst thing that ever happened to me was that I was hit with a tomato while entering the building of a client who was in a labour dispute. But, then came my involvement in the Occupy movement. I’ve learned the hard way how vicious and nasty and outwardly dishonest bad unions can be.

Tomatoes are nothing compared to what I’ve seen…

I’ve been right in the middle of the Occupy story, and have discovered an incredible amount of embarrassing information about some unions (and politicians) have been cooperating with violent anarchists. The Co-opting of Occupy Kalle Lawsn was talking about last week was by the unions.

I’ve watched unions desecrate the Occupy for their own purposes, paying Occupy for facilitators to stay at the Sheraton hotel while others stayed in tents, and have seen and experienced violence and vitreous hate pointed at me (and others) for saying negative things about the union’s involvement in Occupy.

The most transparent of the hate that was pointed at me by Rob Chamberland, the president of CUPE 2073. He came after me after I criticised how CUPE took advantage of Occupiers one day.

CUPE was a major donor to the Occupy movement- they had a lot of power.

There was a protest scheduled out of the camp one night, a lot of people went to it and the camp was almost empty. Then, out of nowhere, CUPE marches a few hundred people from their national convention at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

They brought Olivia Chow on our stage- despite our rule for no MP’s to speak from there. Many dozens of CUPE people were doing a theme-park experience of what it’s like to be occupiers. At one, grotesque, moment CUPE members were walking in a human train ‘high-fiving’ a couple of meth addicts who were in the park.  It was deplorable

I criticised this on an Occupy Vancouver Facebook page, and all of a sudden this stranger appeared and went on a vicious set of attacks on me, and other people who were concerned with this incident. He called people racist, sexist, ablest- he played dirty tricks. He was working as a team with other people who didn’t publicly expose their allegiances. It was nasty and relentless.

It all ended at a stalemate, and I never heard from him. Then, a few months later in Toronto,  I ran across him again. His name is Rob Chamberland, and he’s the President of CUPE Local 2073.

There were many attacks made on me for talking about CUPE. The first time I did this, in Vancouver last year, someone I never heard of came and ambushed me online. He, and a couple of other people, took an aggressive attack on my character and tried to turn people against me.

I didn’t know who he was at the time, but it was undeniable he was on the attack towards me. Rather than answer questions about why ). This man was Rob Chamberland, the president of CUPE local 2073. I would get to know his name very well, has he hounded me for many months. I have many screen-shots of him saying slanderous, hateful things.

I was a whistleblower at Occupy Vancouver when I realized that the CUPE supported Harsha Walia was openly supporting the use of violence. The people around her were socially vicious and ruthless- one called someone I loved and tried to make them think I was a monster. I moved to Cortes Island to regroup over the winter only to find that a CUPE member wrote a letter to many people there saying I was dangerous and mentally ill.

When I arrived in Toronto, I spoke critically about another union incident and Rob Chamberland came attacking me. Harsha Walia’s friend (incarcerated G20 criminal) Alex Hundert appeared and used physical force to stop me from attending an important decision-making meeting. Occupiers were manipulated with lies and twisted stories about me- Chamberland was a big part of it. CUPE 3903 recording secretary Ashleigh Ingle tried to overpower an Interview I was having with a radio station by yelling out that I am sexist and racist.

There’s a website setup by Alex Hundert that was created specifically with the intention to crush and destroy my reputation. Amongst the names attributed to this website is the CUPE 2073. This site has made it very challenging for me to find the level of work I should be doing. It says things about me that everyone who knows me knows aren’t true. It is used in attempts to disqualify my writing on a regular basis.

But, to people who don’t, it can be a big challenge for me to get over sometimes.

It is time for CUPE to answer for it’s part if the vicious attacks taken against me. I will be forwarding this article to them and hope that they will react honourably. I’m not looking to collect heaps of damages here- but I will be requesting they treat me with a bit of respect and issue a public retraction for CUPE’s involvement…

The public are growing tired of CUPE. It is too bad you were not in Toronto the past few years. You missed pretty much the entire city rise up against them. The 2009 city workers strike was the final straw. Some highlights of the strike include:
-Union thugs forcing people to wait to drop off garbage. It took 3-6 hours to drop off garbage.
-When members of the community started to cut the overgrown grass in parks striking CUPE members left chains in the grass to damage their lawn mowers.
-One of the union presidents stole a city ambulance, covered it with pro-union grafiti and left it on a side street.
-Before going back to work CUPE had a couple of last minute clauses. One was an agreement that the city would not seek to punish or prosecute all the union memebers who broke the law while on strike. The other was allowing them to work massive OT over a holiday weekend cleaning the city up and allowing them to make back all the money they lost during the strike.

Anti-CUPE sentiment ran so high. Not only was Rob Ford elected mayor but the candiate who finished second in the election, George Smitherin, also ran on an anti-union platform. The third candidate in the election, Joe Pantalone, who was part of the old NDP guard received a whopping 11% of the popular vote.

One more of the hypocritical attitudes of Occupy.
Although I found Greg to be somewhat obsessive in his writings, it was no differant that the techniques used by many occupiers and activists against the people they opposed. Oh, the arguments I had over various acts towards Vic Toews and his family and associates and their family. But of course, it is okay for occupy to use violence to decry violence against others and if they cross the line and get arrested it is fascism and police brutality.

CUPE helped create more Occupy hypocracy. Occupy started with one of their principles being opposition to modern banking greed and debt bondage. Now Occupy Canada is more about opposing government cuts than about banking. Look at what is planned today. Why Occupy Wall Street is protesting on Wall Street the Occupy movement in Canada is protesting government cuts on Parliament Hill. Without cuts to spending Canada, and most provinces, end up borrowing even more money becoming even more indebted to big banking. How can we ever free ourselves from the clutches of big banking when our governments keep going deeper and deeper in debt?

Unions are some of the most corrupt and vicious organizations around. they are , for lack of a better description, over grown school yard bullies who stamp their feet in a temper tantrum until they get their way. they hold people hostage with demands that are not possible and expect all to tow the line in support of their idiocy.

Occupy was bought and paid for by the unions, but this was not out of their collective kindness. The union bought occupy to get bodies for their own actions later. As one well placed occupy head told myself and one other person, the unions expected that the occupiers will support them on picket lines and be the shit disturbers the unions want and need. So, in other words, the unions wanted expendable bodies to the the dirty work while the union executives sat ba ck from nice comfy offices or hotel suites and watched it all unfold.

(And yes, I am aware it is MSM, but many people not only get their info from MSM, but also share their opinions. As such knowing the information that is out there never a bad thing.)

People in Unions are just the worst for insulting humanity as rotton cores of flesh, I don’t know what it is. It’s shocking. And a lot of them feel they “have” the right to do this. NOOOOOO!

  1. Why wouldn’t you post the screenshots?
